Terms of Service

1. Acceptance and eligibility

By using the website or creating an account, you agree to these terms. If you are below the age at which you may enter a binding agreement where you live, a parent or guardian must agree for you. Do not use the account or Alpha services if you do not agree.

2. Alpha service

Sands of Avalon is in active development. Alpha content may be incomplete, unstable, changed, reset, suspended, or removed. Features, progression, availability, system requirements, and release plans may change without creating an obligation to release a particular feature or version.

3. Accounts and security

• Provide accurate information and keep credentials confidential.
• You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless caused by our failure to use reasonable security.
• Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access. We may require identity verification for recovery, export, or deletion.
• One person may not create or control accounts to evade eligibility, security, or claim restrictions.

4. Alpha keys and playtests

An eligible authenticated PlayFab account may receive no more than one available Alpha Steam key. Keys are limited, assigned to the claiming PlayFab account, and may not be sold, transferred, traded, scraped, automated, or obtained through false information or circumvention. A key does not guarantee uninterrupted or permanent Alpha access.

Registering interest in a mobile playtest does not guarantee an invitation, a particular device platform, or access date. Invitations may be limited by technical requirements, territory, testing capacity, and development needs. We may contact the email linked to your PlayFab account about the requested mobile test.

5. Acceptable use

You must not:

• attack, probe, disrupt, overload, reverse engineer, or bypass security or access controls except where law expressly permits;
• use automation to create accounts, submit forms, or claim keys;
• impersonate others, upload malicious material, harass users, or use the services unlawfully;
• exploit, distribute, or publicly disclose a security vulnerability before giving us a reasonable opportunity to investigate it.

6. Ownership and limited licence

Chronyx Studios and its licensors retain all rights in Sands of Avalon, including its software, characters, worlds, artwork, names, audio, text, and branding. We grant you a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the website and any authorised Alpha build for testing and personal, non-commercial play, subject to these terms.

7. Feedback and submissions

You retain ownership of original feedback you submit. You grant Chronyx Studios a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, transferable and sublicensable licence to use, reproduce, adapt, combine, publish, and implement that feedback to develop, test, market, and support Sands of Avalon and related services. Do not submit confidential information or material you lack permission to share.

8. Feedback reward

A signed-in PlayFab account may receive one advertised virtual-currency reward after submitting eligible Alpha feedback. Rewards are limited to one per account, have no cash value, may not be sold or transferred, and may be adjusted or withdrawn where required to correct an error, prevent abuse, or comply with law. Future exchange options are not guaranteed and may change while the game is in development.

9. Third-party services

Microsoft PlayFab, Steam, Vercel, and other third-party services may have separate terms. You are responsible for complying with terms that apply when you use those services. We are not responsible for a third party’s independent services, accounts, or availability.

10. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect players or services, investigate abuse, comply with law, or enforce these terms. You may stop using the service and request account deletion, subject to identity verification and lawful retention requirements.

11. Disclaimers and liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, pre-release services are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties that they will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for a particular purpose. Chronyx Studios is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss arising from the Alpha service. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded or limits mandatory consumer rights.

12. Governing rules and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws applicable where Chronyx Studios is established, without depriving consumers of mandatory protections in their country of residence. Before starting formal proceedings, please contact us so we can try to resolve the issue.

13. Changes and contact

We may update these terms as the Alpha evolves. Material changes will be communicated reasonably and apply prospectively. Questions may be sent to privacy@chronyxstudios.com.
